Many of us have seen the infomercial that shows Jennifer Nicole Lee gliding on her knees back and forth in a half-circle motion on top of a machine known as the Ab Circle.
This machine has had many claims such as being “the treadmill for your abs.” The claims from the manufacturer say that this machine will help a person lose their love handles and back fat with just a 3 minute express workout done several times a week (Of course, I could help Jennifer Nicole Lee lose love handles if she worked out with me several times a week…). However, are these claims justified and how does user experience differ from the hype? Is the Ab Circle Pro worth the investment?

Pros of The Ab Circle Pro Machine:
I have been in active in the fitness industry for 6 years now both as a personal trainer and a competitive bodybuilder. I have also had the pleasure of trying the Ab Circle Pro out and the product really does offer an intense abdominal workout. After using it for 10 minutes, my abdominals were on fire! I was sore for days afterward, and I have been working out for years now. I incorporate the ab circle into my workout routine at least once a week and have been doing this for over 3 months now. I’m still noticing results. My obliques have started to come in a lot more and I have a lot more strength.
Other people that have used the product as directed for 4 to 6 weeks also notice an improvement in the overall appearance of their core. A common complaint with this system is that your knees become a little sore after use. I didn’t notice this, but some people have. I originally had a hard time getting through with them because I shipped to the wrong address (I recently moved to a new apartment). However, when I did get through they had no problem helping me out and even expedited the shipping for me. Users report after extended use that the rollers tend to wear out. A quick way to fix this problem is to make sure to keep the roller path lubricated with oil. Some users with back problems report having slight discomfort due to extending the arms to grip the handlebars. Just make sure that you keep your back as straight as possible to avoid putting an unnatural arch in your back. Some other complains include sliding off of the knee pads and paint wearing off after long term use.
Is the Ab Circle Pro Worth It?
The value of this product is subjective, but in my experience I think it’s an amazing product to have at your disposal. For those of you who have struggled finding motivation to stick with conventional abdominal workouts, this product will help. You can watch T.V. while using the Ab Circle Pro or exercise while doing regular activities such as cooking and cleaning. To improve the effectiveness, make sure to keep your torso straight and try to move only from the hips to avoid using chest, arms and back muscles to assist in the motion. By isolating the core, the workout becomes more challenging. Furthermore, like with all exercise programs, you should monitor your diet closely. No workout program will deliver results with a diet that is lacking. Their nutritional program is very helpful, but I would encourage you to read more about fat loss and low carb diets to help you learn how to eat healthier.
Is the Ab Circle Pro a Scam?
This product is not a scam. In fact, there have been studies to test the effect of the Ab Circle Pro. The studies say: “the Ab Circle provided an efficient combination of muscle conditioning, and calorie-burning benefits all in one machine” (source). Myself as well as many others have had amazing results with the Ab Circle Pro. Not only is it convenient, but this is something that you can use for a long time and still get quality results. All it takes is to modify the intensity and duration to keep your body adapting to various workloads. I would also suggest this product to those who need additional motivation to begin an exercise program. This product is fun to use and convenient to fit into any schedule. Should you buy it? Yes. Just don’t forget to put hard work into your diet as well.
